Graphene is a new textile wonder material that we at Spyder have begun to incorporate into select pieces in our outerwear line. The application of Graphene can improve the technical properties of traditional fabric without changing its natural structure to achieve improved Thermoregulation, Antistatic and Anti-odour properties.
- Thermoregulation: Graphene can keep the basal body temperature stable, with no strong thermal fluctuations detected in the event of changes to the surrounding temperature or physical exertion.
- Antistatic: Graphene is a natural conductive material, application of a continuous layer of graphene causes electric charges to be dispersed, preventing them from accumulating on the surface.
- Anti-odour: Graphene nanoparticles are free from acute and chronic toxicity and have excellent anti-odour properties.
Graphene is a one-atom-thick layer of carbon atoms arranged in a hexagonal lattice that can be applied to: fibres, yarns, membrane, insulations and fabrics.
